Finally I'm able to find the time to get online and catch up with life. Week one at NHC has finally ended. I'm pretty much getting used to life there. ;)
Monday; Treadmill exercise & Lecture. This test involves stressing the patient's heart to print out the ecg and understand more about the patient's heartbeat!
Tuesday; ABP & ECG. ABP involves removing this 24hr device placed on the patients chest. It's sort of a 24hour device. Learned to download the results and paperwork and MORE paperwork.
ECG! I love doing ecg for the patients. Especially the part of keying patient's name where I can use the scanner to scan their info. The placing of electrodes on the patient's chest for ecg is much much easier for treadmill and holter.
Wednesday; Back to school for boring Lecture. Pharmacology was funn! Ms Joanne Lin was super super super clear. I like! :)
Comm. skills for health professional was pretty boring. The lecturer taught us how to actually speak over the phone with patients. Boringg. She probably dislike our class because we are sooo quiet that no body answers her question.
Thursday; Holter & Techo Holter! I got the same trainer as for my ecg. My trainer saw me and I saw her, we both went EHH! HI! hahas. Pretty funny. :) Holter is pretty much harder than the rest because the electrodes and clips have different colour. Imagine i have to remember that. But I think I remembered.
Treadmill Echo. Didnt do much in this room more of observation because the ultrasound was done by my trainer who told me it's not very impt for us to know that. Pretty much the same as Treadmill. Trainer told me the patients I saw had unusual ecg but a pity I couldnt really read ecg yet!
Friday; Lecturesss! Lecture day! Yay, because I finally get to sit down. Miss Lin is soooo nice. I'm going to love her lessons I guess. Lectures with Doctors are like, omgosh. Their phone pretty much ring so often that lessons get interrupted every10mins.
We had a fun time trying conversions for Pharm Maths by Miss Lin. Hehe.
Since week one is finally over! Trainers I had were all pretty friendly and taught us alot. Finally! I'm able to get my rest tonight and not wake up so early tmr! Yay! I love friday nights! :) Next week will be at Vascular Lab I hope it will be fun. Was just wondering if I could type what happen to patients then I realise I pretty much cant say too much about it because confidential isnt it??
Finally ending my post :)
Thank you darren for cutest and tallest giraffe I ever gotten! SOOOO CUTE. I LOVE IT! Pictures of it soonish! :D
Bye-bye! EGG-CITED~~~!
